When it comes to colors, no one does it better than the Indians.

Apparently, Indians are very colorful people. The more colors, the better. It is perhaps the most common, simple expressions of color that hold together the multitudes of outlooks, lifestyles, and traditions. The symbolism of color stands out and controls every aspect of life, be it religion, festivals or celebrations.

As the Festival of Light descends upon us once again, Hindus all over are making final touches to illuminate their homes. One way this is apparent in many homes are the elaborate and beautiful kolam designs that will adorn the entrances.

Nowadays, many shopping malls in the Klang Valley are participating in outdoing one another in decadent Deepavali decor.

Our CP team scouted around to find some of these vibrant and intricate decors around town. While some didn’t even have a single decor, others had some simple kolams.
